Started his carier at Atos (formerly known as Origin). Later on he worked in the US for Cisco as a wireless network expert. In 2009 he was the first Dutch person to own the respected CWNE certification. With his technical expertise, he was part of the examcommitee where he created and evaluated the examcontent for the modules CCNA Wireless and CCNP Wireless. From 2012 he worked for Gecoda Networks in delivering large wireless projects in the Netherlands as well as in the US.
His IT carier started at the Dutch Ministery of Defence, where he got experienced in working with complex RF-systems. In the meantime he has gathered over 15 years of relevant WiFi experience , nationally as wel as internationally. He regularly flies the world to build temperary but complex wireless networks for large events, like the Shell Eco Marathons. Raymond is also certified CWNT-trainer and teaches all CWNP-modules to everbody in need of more WiFi-knowledge.
The CWNP®-program (Certified Wireless Network Professional) is the globally known and respected industry standard for certifying and training in the area of wireless networks. Phisical knowledge, protocolls and standards are the cornerstones of this program. CWNP’s don't have their focus on brands but they focus on the physics behind the hardware. Who ever has this knowledge, knows how to work with each and every product. The highest possible level of certification is CWNE®: Certified Wireless Networking Expert. 280 people all over the world have earned this title, 3 of them live in the Netherlands among them Peter Paul Engelen and Raymond Hendrix.
